How much does a new boiler cost?
Every home is different, but most new boiler installations we do fall into the ranges below. The price includes the boiler, flue, a magnetic system filter, a chemical flush of the system, labour, Building Control notification and warranty registration. We confirm the exact figure in writing after a free survey.

What pushes the price up? Mainly a change of boiler type, removing old tanks from the loft, a longer or vertical flue, upgrading the gas pipe to meet current regulations and adding smart controls. Boiler brands we fit and warranty lengths
We are an Ideal approved installer and hold Ideal MAX accreditation, so most of our installs are Ideal boilers. We also fit Worcester Bosch and Vaillant when a customer prefers them. The warranty you get depends on the model and on having a system filter fitted and the boiler serviced every year.

Warranties must be registered with the manufacturer and need an annual service to stay valid. We register yours for you. On top of this every job comes with our own 1-year labour guarantee.

How a new boiler installation works
- 1Free home surveyWe visit, look at your current boiler, pipework, gas supply, flue position and water pressure, then ask how you use hot water.
- 2Fixed written quoteYou get a clear quote within 24 hours with the boiler model, warranty length, any extras and the total price. No pressure to go ahead.
- 3Booking inWe agree a date that suits you. Standard swaps can often be booked within a few days.
- 4Removing the old boilerWe protect your floors, drain the system and safely disconnect and remove the old boiler (and tanks if needed).
- 5Cleaning the systemWe flush the system to clear sludge so the new boiler is not damaged by old debris, then fit a magnetic filter.
- 6Fitting the new boilerWe install the boiler, flue, condensate pipe and controls to the manufacturer instructions and current building regulations.
- 7Testing and commissioningWe check the gas pressure, flue gas readings and safety devices, fill in the Benchmark checklist and set the system up.
- 8Handover and paperworkWe show you how the controls work, tidy up and register the warranty. Your Building Control certificate follows by post.

Only a Gas Safe registered engineer can legally fit a gas boiler. Ask to see the engineer's Gas Safe ID card before any work starts. Ours will always show it.

How much does a new boiler cost in Surrey?
A like-for-like combi swap usually costs £1,800 to £2,500 + VAT fitted. Changing system type (for example from a regular boiler with tanks to a combi) is usually £2,500 to £3,500 + VAT. We give you a fixed written price after a free survey so you know the total before we start.
How long does a boiler installation take?
A straight combi swap in the same spot is normally done in one day. A system change or a boiler move usually takes two to three days because of the extra pipework.
Will I be without heating and hot water?
Only while we are working. On a one-day swap we turn the water and gas off in the morning and have everything running again by the end of the day. On longer jobs we plan the work so you are not left without hot water overnight where we can avoid it.
Which boiler is right for my home?
A combi suits most flats and homes with one or two bathrooms. Larger homes with several bathrooms usually do better with a system boiler and a hot water cylinder. Do you register the boiler and the warranty?
Yes. We notify the installation to Building Control through Gas Safe, register the manufacturer warranty for you and hand over the Benchmark checklist and certificates.
Do I need to service my new boiler?
Yes. Every manufacturer warranty needs an annual service to stay valid. We can book it in for you each year. A boiler service with us is £80 + VAT.
Can you move my boiler at the same time?
Yes. Moving it on the same wall or to the next room is usually £500 to £800 + VAT on top. Moving it to a different room is £800 to £1,200 + VAT and moving it to another floor starts at £1,000 to £1,500 + VAT. See our guide on the cost of moving a boiler.
