A boiler service is an annual health check. The engineer inspects the boiler, checks for gas leaks, tests the safety devices, cleans key components, and makes sure everything is running at the right pressure and temperature. Why do I need one?
Annual servicing catches small problems before they become expensive repairs. It also keeps your boiler running efficiently, which saves money on gas. Most manufacturer warranties require annual servicing to remain valid - skip a service and you could void your warranty.
What is a boiler repair?
A repair is when something has broken or stopped working properly - no hot water, no heating, strange noises, error codes on the display, or a leak. The engineer diagnoses the fault and replaces or fixes the faulty part.
How much does each cost?
A standard boiler service costs between £60 and £90. Repair costs depend on what is wrong - a simple fix like replacing a pressure relief valve might be £100-£150, while a new heat exchanger could be £300-£500.
